Tantric rituals
Tantra started 8000-10000 years ago, in what we now know as India. It was part of the culture of the Dravidians, and there is evidence indicating that is society was originally matriarchal. It was first systemised by Sadashiva or Shiva around 7500 years ago and due to recent revelations from various musicians, it is fast becoming a popular interest.
There are numerous ways to perform ritualistic worship according to tantra. However the sense of a tantric ritual remains the same, "to realise a higher reality". During my tantric services I will carry out some of the following tantric rituals:
The food and wine ritual
This can be done at the start or end of the session. It is done to open the channels of communication, but can also be used to discuss sessions after completion. I find it at its most useful at the start of Couples Therapy, as often, clients can be a little nervous, including myself. Those involved sit facing each other and share wine, or champagne, and cakes or other sweet delicacies. Then, they all talk. Simply that. It's a wonderful opportunity for those involved to get to know each other better, and to discuss past experiences, likes and dislikes and goals for the session.
Cleansing ritual
This is either a shower or rose petal filled bath which is taken before the massage and is essential to cleanse the skin, and also aids in relaxation. Deep breathing can be done to cleanse the inside so the outside must be cleansed too.
Sense play
When you remove one of the senses, for example, sight, the other four senses are exaggerated. This also put the body into a heightened state of awareness. I'll manipulate and work the other senses to yours and my advantage, and push them to the edge of overload. A truly erotic journey.
